Collins Square Lunar New Year

Working with Collins Square, Moth delivered an immersive installation for Lunar New Year, year of the Rat. Utilising the Year of The Rat’s lucky colour Blue, the entire installation was colour-blocked with the stunning deep Yves Klein Blue from floor to ceiling. An abstract river bed symbolises the origin of the rat, which is the first animal of the Chinese zodiac cycle. It is said that in a race with the other zodiac animals, the rat cheekily travelled atop of an Ox to cross the river bed, jumping to the other side before the Ox was able to climb out. 3 archways are placed along the 3 layers of ply mimicking a river bed as the number 3 is said to be the lucky number for 2020 Year of The Rat.
