We were tasked to work on the opening night of Melbourne Fashion Festival 2022. Presented by David Jones and set at the iconic Queen Victoria Market, the night consisted of a gala event and a runway show. We collaborated with the Visual Merchandising team at David Jones for the concept and styling. We based our designs for the event on the store's Autumn/Winter campaign, Wonderworld, themed around travelling and seeing what the world has to offer. For the gala, we approached real traders from Queen Victoria Market to work together on showcasing their products for the event. From building sets, to colour-blocking vegetables for display, to coming up with exciting new names for ice cream flavours - we created an immersive, buzzing market experience for the special night.
